- Following the principle of passing on the experiences and technologies of the top series, the Deore XT incorporates the innovations of the high-end XTR components. Accordingly the new 12-speed groupset features of course Micro Spline and Hyperglide+.
- Shimano Deore XT SL-M8100 Rapidfire Plus (Mono) shifting lever
- The Shimano Deore XT SL-M8100 shift lever allows quick and easy shifting, so the rider can solely focus on the Trail ahead. Compared to its predecessor, the SL-M8000, the shifting operation force could be reduced by 35 % while the main lever access is now 20 % faster thanks to a clever design. In addition, the lever's rubberized contact surface ensures maximum ergonomics.
- Proven features such as Rapidfire Plus, 2-Way-, Instant- and Multi-Release have of course been adopted by the SL-M8100 shifting levers from its predecessor. In addition, the left Rapidfire Plus Mono lever for 2-speed systems makes it possible to shift both the large and small chainring with just one button. The lever is pressed forward with the thumb to shift up, but does not spring back afterwards as before, but remains locked in this position. To shift down to the small chainring, simply release this lock by pressing it again with your thumb or by pulling it with your forefinger.
- Release functions of the Shimano Deore XT SL-M8100 shift lever:
- Instant Release
- allows faster shifts as it instantly releases the cable when the trigger is activated.
- Multi-Release
- (only at right lever) allows shifting four gears at once in both directions.
- The levers are also equipped with
- 2-Way Release
- for different riding styles or shifting (indexfinger or thumb) from various riding positions. The upper lever still performs the same function, but now it swings both ways. Pull it with your finger or push it with your thumb - you choose.
